Reimagining a U.S. wellness brand for Berlin, with inclusivity at its core
For Johnson & Johnson and IDEO, I helped design a pop-up at Bikini Berlin's fashion concept mall that paired a legacy product launch with experiential activations, then built a full-scale prototype that led to a five-location pilot.

CHALLENGE
Reposition KY Jelly for a Berlin audience, shifting it from a U.S.-centric wellness product to a culturally relevant, inclusive experience. Early research revealed the LGBTQIA+ community as underserved in European wellness, giving the brand a chance to lead with inclusivity.
OUTCOME
A walkable prototype brought J&J leadership and Bikini Berlin's architects into the experience, turning an abstract idea into a shared vision ready for rollout.
MY CONTRIBUTIONS
Developed environmental graphic concepts and a signage and messaging hierarchy
Created mockups and spatial visualizations for stakeholder review
Helped build a 1:1-scale prototype mapping a two-person experiential journey, presented to J&J's Chief Design Officer and the lead architect of Bikini Berlin
Delivered camera-ready artwork for internal production
Presenting the concept to J&J and Bikini Berlin stakeholders
RESULTS
Aligned 6 teams and partners, from marketing and product to facilities and vendors, around a single vision through a walkable prototype, reaching sign-off within two months
Designed a unified signage and messaging system across 7 touchpoint types, from window graphics and entry signage to floor decals and takeaway cards
Led to a pilot in 5 additional locations and became the foundation for pitching future experiential concepts
REFLECTION
This project showed me that early, tangible prototypes do more than test ideas: they create shared conviction and reveal how messaging truly performs in space. It also deepened my respect for environmental graphic systems, where clarity, emotion, and production constraints must stay in balance as a concept moves from prototype to pilot.
